ESPN reports that Dave “Say you love me and mean it!” Frost has finally resigned as a player agent:

David Frost, the man who was the center of a murder-for-hire plot by former NHLer Mike Danton, resigned as an NHL player agent on Tuesday.

“Dave Frost has resigned as an NHLPA Certified Agent. The NHLPA will make no further comment on this matter,” Ian Penny, NHLPA associate counsel, said in a statement.

I think that the reason that Ian Penny would like the comment to stop there may have something to with the unseemly fact that ex-NHLPA head Bob Goodenow used to break bread with Frost and Danton. Plus there’s the fact the NHLPA big-wigs like Trevor Linden would have to have been braindead to not know about Frost’s antics for years, yet they never moved to decertify the NHL’s so called Svengali.

Yuck. If you saw the Fifth Estate special on the Danton/Frost attempted murder>/a>, then you know what I mean when I say that everything related to this case is just so damn creepy.
