I’m not sure which facts about Keith Tkachuk’s suspension due to being overweight are the most amusing:

• That the embarrassment to Tkachuk will be much worse now that the NHL players union has filed a grievance on his behalf.
• That the players union will need to now argue either that weight is not a significant factor affecting a player’s performance OR that a player is not responsible for his health.
• That the second highest-paid player in the vaunted New Look NHL is chubby.
• That he’s being defended by a teammate whose last name is Weight.

I suddenly want to go to a game when the Blues visit just so that I can make fat jokes whenever Tkachuk touches the puck.

I must admit, the New NHL is already a lot more entertaining.
