It would be very easy to make a spiteful pun in light of the recent gay rights debacle within the Anglican Church:

The U.S. and Canadian churches were asked Thursday to withdraw from a key council of the global communion for three years because of the election of a gay bishop in the United States and the blessing of same-sex unions there and in Canada.

The request was made by Anglican leaders, or primates, following a meeting in Northern Ireland. — The Toronto Star

However, I can now piously claim to have resisted such a temptation.
